(WXYZ) — Select Family Video locations in Michigan, as well as nationwide, are now selling CBD products.
According to FOX 17 in Grand Rapids, sales are booming. Products for sale include sprays, oils, balms and gummy bears.
Fox 17 reports that the founder of Family Video discovered the use while dealing with tennis elbow, and wanted to share it with customers.
The website is also selling CBD products, linking off to the Natural Native website.
CBD, or cannabidiol is the non-psychoactive ingredient of cannabis plants and can be extracted from the two strains of cannabis, both hemp and marijuana.
CBD-oil has been found in lotions, creams and food. And although the only CBD products officially approved by the Food and drug Admiration is a prescription oil called Epidiolex, proponents say it can have many health benefits for humans and pets.
The Mayo Clinic says more research is needed to determine the benefits and safety of CBD oil. And CBD oil can carry the following side effects: dry mouth, diarrhea, reduced appetite, drowsiness and fatigue.
