(WXYZ) — If you're looking to adopt a cat or kitten, then this weekend is perfect for you! The Michigan Humane Society said it is waiving adoption fees on all cats and kittens this weekend, at all MHS locations.
According to MHS, all normal adoption policies and procedures will still apply, but the fee will be waived.
To adopt a cat, you have to bring a driver's license, vet records or any current pets or pets owned in the last five years, all members of your household, and any canine family members.
After, you will meet with a trained adoption counselor, and then finish the adoption process. You can save time by downloading a preliminary adoption form online here. Once completed, the animal will go home with you on the same day!
