(WXYZ) — Michigan State is back in the spotlight.
The university's one-time president, Lou Anna Simon, returns to court Tuesday after being accused of lying to investigators. A judge will determine if there is enough evidence to take the case to trial.
Simon is the third person charged as part of the Larry Nassar scandal – but this is a very different case. Nassar was the sports medicine doctor who sexually abused young, underage athletes and is now behind bars. Lou Anna Simon is accused with lying to investigators about knowledge she had regarding previous investigations.
Meanwhile, miles away in Lansing, the Michigan legislature is set to discuss bills "born out of the Larry Nassar scandal."

House Bill 4376 – if it became law, it would require physical therapists, their assistants and athletic trainers to report suspicions of child abuse.
A second bill set to be discussed is House Bill 4383. This bill would essentially make it a crime for someone to use their position of authority to prevent someone else from reporting a Title IX violation.
