HIGHLAND PARK, Mich. (WXYZ) — Michigan State Police found 50 grams of crack cocaine while making a traffic stop in Highland Park on July 31.
The stop happened just before 10 p.m. Officers say the driver was pulled over for fraudulent insurance. The 44-year-old did not have a driver's license and was arrested.
While searching his vehicle, troopers located the cocaine in small zip-lock baggies under the hood of his 2002 Cadillac Escalade, inside the fuse box. A razor blade and scale were also found along with a large amount of empty baggies.
The man, who is a resident of Detroit, is now being held in jail pending charges.
