Michigan State Police are warning drivers about an increased police presence along a stretch of major construction along I-75 stretching from Detroit to Downriver.
MSP Lt. Michael Shaw says the Metro South Post will have an increased presence along the I-75 Rouge project this week to reduce speeding and crashes.
The construction zone speed limit is 45 mph when workers are present, and drivers are urged to caution and remember that speed limit in the area.
Fines for drivers in Michigan in construction zones are double the normal fines.
