DETROIT (WXYZ) — Michigan State Police released a warning to people on Saturday night telling them to be cautious of a possible cop impersonator in the area of I-96 and Davison Freeway who has been making traffic stops.
He's described as a white man wearing a black uniform, and driving a black charger with red and blue lights.
The man has been identifying himself as a state trooper, however, MSP notes that their troopers do not use unmarked vehicles to conduct traffic stops. A real MSP trooper's vehicle will have either a red overhead light or be blue in color with no overhead light.
