NILES, Mich. (WXYZ) — A southwest Michigan tattoo parlor accused of putting its customers' health at risk has been shut down.
A sign on the door at Paparazzi Tattoos and Body Piercings in Niles says its license has been suspended.
Berrien County health inspectors say equipment used for navel, tongue and genital piercings was not properly sterilized.
As a precaution, it's urging customers who had those piercings to get tested for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and HIV.
Right now, there are no illnesses associated with the parlor that have been made known.
The health department ordered a list of changes that must be made before it can reopen.
