In fact, as of 4 p.m. Wednesday, Michiganders have purchased more than 450,000 Mega Million tickets.
If someone in Michigan wins the jackpot, they'll get a lump sum of $513 million. But the lottery would withhold 24 percent for federal income taxes and 4.25 percent for state income taxes.
After taxes, you'll be left with about $368 million.
