Shoppers in Midtown are ditching malls and traditional gifts for something a little more unique like Detroit ornaments, Michigan coasters and an Old English "D" candle.
Stores on W. Canfield in Midtown are selling items made by local artists and designers.
“Customers like to find one of a kind gifts that people that they get them for will find very special that they haven’t seen before,” says Andy Linn, co-owner of City Bird.
"We like to feature a lot of things made by local artists and designers and we’re really excited to offer something unique in the region.”
"There are lots of holiday ideas. I’m buying gifts for my coworkers so there are gifts here which I think are good because I don’t know exactly what to get my coworkers and this is a good spot to find something,” adds Abigail Williams, shopper.
