DETROIT (WXYZ) — Country superstar Garth Brooks reportedly just set a record for ticket sales in Detroit after selling more than 70,000 tickets to his show at Ford Field in only 90 minutes.
Tickets for Brooks' first-ever show at Ford Field in Detroit went on sale at 10 a.m. Friday and by 11:30 a.m., they were nearly sold out.
This is his first show in Detroit since playing back-to-back weekends in 2015 at Joe Louis Arena.
The agency representing Brooks said it the ticket sales a record for the largest attendance at a one-night musical event.
