He’s spent the majority of his life behind bars convicted of robbery, weapons, criminal sexual conduct and more.
Kevin Wilson - also known and arrested under the name of Anthony Bell - has been convicted of horrific crimes.
One crime in Detroit had him locked up in prison for 27 years, but even while incarcerated the U.S. Marshals say he couldn’t stay out of trouble.
“If he couldn’t behave in a custodial sentence environment in between 4 cell blocks, what’s he doing out in the real world? What’s he doing out on the street?” said Deputy Aaron Garcia, U.S. Marshals Supervisor.
At 57-years-old he’s spent more of his life inside prison than out on the street.
“Extremely long, lengthy, violent criminal history dating way back to 1976,” Garcia said.
It began with setting a car on fire as a juvenile, arrested under the names Kevin Wilson and Anthony Bell; he landed a lengthy sentence after a horrific incident in Detroit.
“In 1980, Wilson was charged with forcibly assaulting, robbing – they attempted to rob four girls at gunpoint- him and his friends,” Garcia said. “Forcibly rob them, and then he sexually assaulted them at gunpoint.”
While in prison he had a chance at parole after 15 years.
“During that crime, he served 27 years in prison. He never got out on parole. He served the whole time because of his extreme violent behavior of the crime and also when he was in prison,” Garcia said. “He was also charged with an additional charge while in custody with possession of a weapon.”
Upon release, Kevin Wilson, or Anthony Bell failed to register as a sex offender and was convicted of another B&E.
“His criminal history shows he committed crimes in not only Detroit but Oakland County, Macomb County, and Wayne County,” Garcia said. “At this point, we believe that he may be in the Dayton, Ohio area, Ohio is the last place we had him flee to in the area. We don’t know if he’s returned. If he did return, he has a lot of contacts in Detroit.”
The man known and arrested under the names Kevin Wilson and Anthony Bell is 57-years-old, 5-foot-8-inches tall and 185 pounds.
“This is stuff that he accumulated over the years; we’re not making this up. This is stuff, from his behavior, that he has done. What is he doing now? I guarantee he’s probably doing the same stuff along these lines he’s done his whole life,” Garcia said.
As always there’s a cash reward for any of the fugitives featured on Detroit’s Most Wanted.
