DETROIT (WXYZ) — The U.S. Marshals are searching for a couple they say are responsible for a gunfight at a gas station on Detroit's east side.

Boyfriend and girlfriend – both with long criminal histories – are now suspects in a gas station shooting that was caught on camera.

The U.S. Marshals say it was a fist fight inside the gas station that erupted into a gunfight at the pump. Two people were shot and two people are now on the run.

"Identified as Anthony Lovejoy by DPD investigators and the victim, victim number one get into a fight," said Assistant Chief Deputy Aaron Garcia. "They get into a fight inside the gas station –they eventually leave."

That August fight was recorded inside the gas station at Cadieux and Harper.

"Leondria Lippett hands him a pistol out of her purse," said Assistant Chief Deputy Aaron Garcia.

Police say this is Leondria Lippett.

"Anthony Lovejoy takes the gun," said Garcia.

This is her boyfriend Anthony Lovejoy.

"There’s a gunfight here at the gas station 2 a.m. in the morning," said Garcia.

You can see the man police identify as Lovejoy head toward the door and begin shooting at the large group outside.

A second gunman fired back. Police say he was shot.

"One of the victims was shot was shot in the abdomen area, the chest area and the arm," said Garcia.

It takes less than 20 seconds for dozens of shots to be fired as bullets shatter glass. As people run for their lives, two men are hit.

"The other victim was shot in the thigh area," Garcia said. "One was in critical condition but both survived.

According to police, everyone at the gas station takes off. The victims were dropped off at the hospital a short time later, and by the time DPD arrived this was the scene.

"They come to the scene, the Cadillac Escalade is empty, there’s bullet holes all over the vehicles," Garcia said.

Lippett and Lovejoy have not been seen since. 38-year-old Lovejoy just got out of prison for assault with intent to murder – the same charge he’s facing once again.

"Extensive criminal histories on both of these two – they’re habitual offenders, we believe they are still armed and dangerous and committed several felonies and we need to find them," Garcia said.

27-year-old Lippett served prison time for retail fraud, identity theft and assault, according to police.

Lippett, she has ties everywhere – she’s been arrested in Roseville, Dearborn, Troy, Ann Arbor," said Garcia.

The U.S. Marshals believe they’re still together and may not be far from the scene of the crime.

"We believe they are still together," said Garcia. "They are with each other, they have strong ties to the east side of Detroit."

As always, theres' a cash reward for any information leading the arrest of Anthony Lovejoy or Leondria Lippett. You can call the U.S. Marshals anytime at (313) 234-5656.
