7 Action News is once again teaming up with police as we try getting one of Detroit’s Most Wanted criminals off the streets.
This time we have one mother's emotional plea - as her 19-year-old daughter's killer is still out there.
"Now when I see other women with their daughters, see how special that is, and see how someone just ripped that from me."
Bonita Anderson is just heartbroken, saying her only daughter, 19-year old Patrice Anderson, was killed September 26th.
"19-years, 2 months, 25 days, I’m very angry, she was everything to me,” says Anderson. “Everything I dreamed and hoped for."
Detectives with DPD homicide say it happened around two in the morning in Detroit, on Chelfonte and Cherrylawn, as Patrice was driving with her boyfriend.
A dark colored vehicle pulled up and someone immediately starts firing into Patrice’s car, striking Patrice in the chest."
The gunman took off.
Patrice, a young mother who worked two jobs, loved to dance and hoped to be an attorney someday, died at the hospital, shortly after.
"I don’t believe she was intended target, believe she was innocent bystander," says Detective Antonio Carlisi.
Now, as police hunt for Patrice's killer, her mother has some words for the person who pulled the trigger.
“I feel sorry for you that you have things going on in your life, that led you to destroy our life," she says.
Detectives say there were other people inside of the car with the shooter. They are hoping someone who knows something comes forward with information.
