Danielle Davis, the mother of the 3-year-old boy who was shot in a drive-by in River Rouge on Sunday, tells 7 Action News that her son has died.
Jamar Lee Quinn Jr. passed away around 11:00 a.m. Monday.
His death comes a say after Davis told 7 Action News that her home was set on fire early Monday morning.
Details of what happened are limited at this time.
Police say Quinn Jr. was shot around 2:45 a.m. Sunday on Campbell St. in River Rouge. The bullet came from behind the house.
The boy was hit in the head while sleeping and was taken to the hospital. He had been listed in critical condition in the intensive care unit. However, as of Sunday evening his mother had told us he was unresponsive and on a ventilator.
This is not the first time the family's home has been hit by bullets. The front window was shattered by bullets earlier this month in another drive-by shooting.
