Michigan State University's Board of Trustees met Friday amid several calls for the school's interim president to resign. Protestors broke out screaming in the meeting at Engler and the board.

John Engler's comments made in an email regarding a survivor of the Larry Nassar scandal prompted two trustees to call for his removal.
Engler claimed Rachael Denhollander probably received a "kickback" from her attorneys suing the school.
On Thursday, Engler issued an apology, stating, "That was a big mistake. I was wrong. I apologize."
Following the apology, Board Chair Brian Breslin said, "John's apology for the comments contained in an April email that was released last week is appropriate and appreciated by a majority of the board."
However, survivors and their supporters responded stating that they appreciate the apology, but still believe that Engler is unfit to lead Michigan State University.
“I am thankful for his statement, but disappointed beyond what I can express that it only came after eight days of state leaders, members of Congress, senators, two MSU board members, and over 150 women whose character he attacked, have been calling for his resignation," Denhollander said. "One day before a critical board meeting. This does not signal a genuine change of heart. It signals political manipulation.”
Some survivors, Kaylee Lorincz, Morgan McCaul, Grace French and Danielle Moore will address the Board of Trustees and demand Engler's removal at 8 a.m. at MSU's Hannah Administration Building.
