Repair crews responded to the scene after multiple live power lines came down across Haggerty Road between 5 and 6 Mile in Livonia. A cement truck reportedly hit a power poll bringing down the lines.
Both directions were closed until crews could shut off the power. Wires could be seen sparking at the scene. A wire could also be seen draped across the cement truck with the driver inside.
Residents were asked to stay indoors and drivers asked to avoid the area.
Crews were able to cut power and get the driver out of the truck.
Repair work is still underway.
