The National Weather Service has confirmed a tornado touched down in Frenchtown Township in Monroe County Tuesday night.
The tornado was rated an EF-1 with estimated winds at 95-100 mph and traveled 4.3 miles.
According to report, the tornado began weak around 8:23 p.m. cause damage to mainly trees. The storm reached EF-1 strength near Toben and South Stony Creek, removing roofs and blowing out windows of nearby homes.
