A final report from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has concluded that Miami Marlins pitcher Jose Fernandez was at the controls of a deadly boating crash last September.

The vessel rammed a jetty on Miami Beach killing Fernandez, Emilio Macias, and Eduardo Rivero.

The FWC report concluded that Fernandez’s DNA was found on the steering wheel and the throttle and his fingerprint was lifted from the steering wheel.

There was no evidence found to indicate either Macias or Rivero were possible operators of the boat, the report stated.

Fernandez had cocaine and alcohol in his system when his boat crashed, according to toxicology reports.

The parents of Macias and Rivero filed personal injury lawsuits against Fernandez’s estate last month.

Information from the AP and NBC 6 was used in this report.
