Starbucks quietly raises prices for second time this year

It's going to cost Starbucks customers a little extra to quench their cold drink craving and satisfy their sweet tooth.

A Starbucks spokesperson confirmed on Tuesday to the TheStreet.com that prices on select cold drinks and baked goods went up Nov. 10 without any formal announcement. Customers can expect to pay between 10 to 30 cents more at the register.

This is the second time Starbucks increased its prices this year. In July, Starbucks raised prices by up to 30 cents on certain brewed coffees, espresso and tea lattes.

The most recent price hike came without warning, though, and some customers questioned the necessity of another cost increase so soon.
