(WXYZ) — The NBA has announced that it will be suspending the remainder of the season after Utah Jazz player Rudy Gobert "preliminarily" tested positive for the coronavirus.

"The test result was reported shortly prior to the tip-ff of tonight's game between the Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder at Chesapeake Energy Arena," reads a statement from the association.

The game has since been canceled and Gobert is no longer at the arena.

The length of the suspension is currently unknown. The association said that the hiatus will be used to determine next steps.
