New children's book inspired by author's childhood in Michigan

Posted

A new children's book tells the story of a boy from Michigan who travels back in time to ancient Egypt. Along the way, he helps King Tut fight off evil forces.

The book, "The Secret of the Scarab Beetle", is the first in a new series. It was inspired by author and teacher William Meyer's childhood in metro Detroit. Meyer joined 7 Action News to discuss the book and its foundation in history.

"The Secret of the Scarb Beetle" is on sale now from Amazon, Barnes and Noble and other book sellers.

The first chapter is available to read for free on at http://horaceandthetimekeepers.com/.
