(WXYZ) — You'll have to take an alternate route heading onto 10 Mile Road from Southfield Road this fall.
The Road Commission for Oakland County will temporarily prohibit left turns from both northbound and southbound Southfield Road to 10 Mile Road in Southfield beginning Wednesday, Oct. 30.
The left-turn restrictions are part of the ongoing pavement repairs on 10 Mile Road from Greenfield Road to Evergreen Road that began July 8.
During this phase of the project, contractors will close the center left-turn lane and two adjacent lanes in each direction on Southfield Road to 10 Mile Road for concrete patching work.
Southfield Road at 10 Mile Road will have one through lane open for traffic in each direction. Drivers can expect delays and are advised to seek an alternate route.
This phase of work is expected to be complete by mid-November, but additional lane closures will remain in place for several days. The entire project will be completed in late fall.
