Non-fatal shooting, critical stabbing in Detroit overnight

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are investigating two incidents that happened overnight.

Non-fatal shooting in the 8400 block of Faust Street

On Nov. 28 around 8:55 p.m., an 18-year-old male victim, witness and 48-year-old male suspect were inside the location on Faust Street when the victim and suspect began arguing. Police say the argument resulted in the suspect shooting at the victim.

It wasn't until the victim left the location that he realized he had been shot, according to police. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment and listed in critical condition.

Police say the suspect left the location in a gold 2006 Chevrolet Uplander before officers arrived at the scene.

The shooting remains under investigation.

Critical stabbing in the 19700 block of Waltham Street

On Nov. 29 around 4:20 a.m., it is alleged that a 23-year-old male victim pulled up to a location on Waltham Street, got out of his vehicle and was stabbed by two unknown suspects who left the scene after the incident.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and listed in critical condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
