The Oakland County Sheriff's Office is looking for the suspect involved in a hit-and-run accident on Wednesday in Orion Township.

Police say the victim was walking her dog westbound on Morgan Road so that she could see oncoming traffic when she and her dog were struck from behind by an unknown vehicle.

The vehicle was traveling westbound on Morgan when the driver crossed into the eastbound lane and struck the victim and her dog.

Police say the victim yelled for the car to stop and assist her, but it continued to travel westbound on Morgan Road. The woman suffered a fractured arm and her dog, a 10-year-old poodle mix, was killed.

Detectives located video of the suspect vehicle, and it is described as a white GM SUV body style vehicle produced from 2006-2008.

The woman has since been released from the hospital.

Anyone with information on the suspect or suspect vehicle, should contact the County Sheriff's Office at (248) 858-4954.
