AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (WXYZ) — Oakland Community College has suspended face-to-face classes until March 23 amid the coronavirus outbreak.
The in-person suspension goes into effect Thursday, March 12. Face-to-face classes will resume in a remotely on Monday, March 23, the college says.
As for faculty and staff, the school's website says, "From March 12-22, faculty will migrate their face-to-face courses to remote instruction. Faculty and Academic Technology Group experts will work together to support this migration."
- All other College business operations will continue. All campuses, including District Office, will remain open.
- OCC has hired additional temporary custodial staff at each campus and assigned to disinfect highly used surfaces and restrooms.
- We will communicate in the coming days regarding remote and telecommuting options.
All online classes will continue as scheduled.
