A 57-year-old Addison Township woman allegedly assaulted her husband, 76, with a box cutter, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.
Oakland County Sheriff's deputies responded to a residence on Lake George Road on reports of an assault.
Deputies spoke with the victim who told them that his wife had assaulted him with a box cutter, cutting his arm. He was locked in the bedroom until deputies arrived.
Officials say the wife had retreated into another bedroom where she reportedly had access to a handgun. She complied with deputies and exited the room, where she was taken into custody. A box cutter and pellet-style handgun were recovered from the bedroom.
