Ouch! Phone display falls on man robbing Westland Metro PCS store

WESTLAND (WXYZ) — A suspect who broke into a Westland Metro PCS store to steal items had some immediate karma when the phone display fell on top of him.

According to police, the suspect went into the store and stole multiple cell phones. When he was attempting to pull a phone off of a security device, he caused the display to fall.

The incident happened March 4 at a Metro PCS store at 4683 S. Middlebelt Road. The suspect went into the store around 10:40 p.m.

Police describe the suspect as a black man with pointed black facial hair on his chin. He was wearing a tan jacket, tan khaki-type pants, a black knit cap with a white circular logo and tan work boots. Police add that the suspect was seen after re-entering the store without the tan jacket, wearing a tan colored hooded sweatshirt with white writing on the front.
