(WXYZ) — TRAFFIC UPDATE: Eastbound I-696 is back open near Greenfield after an overturned semi and fuel spill closed the highway on Tuesday morning.
Troopers say a preliminary investigation revealed the semi-tractor driver lost control while crossing all lanes, hitting the ride side, retaining against the wall. As a result, the tractor lost its load of rolled steel.
There were no injuries, according to officials.
