(WXYZ) — Pepsi is bringing a new flavor to Detroit!

On May 18, the carbonated soft drink manufacture said that they would bring a tasting of a Pepsi-infused pepperoni to Detroit. On Friday, May 27 those dreams come true.

Anyone hoping to try the free Pepsi-roni pizza can grab a slice at the Green Lantern Pizza franchise at 4033 W. 12 Mile Rd in Berkley, MI.

The organization will be distributing the pizza from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m..

The beverage brand said that it teamed up with the Culinary Institute of America Consulting to reimagine the pizza topping.

The company is calling it "Pepsi-Roni pizza" and the pepperoni is infused with "rich caramel notes and brown spices with the citrusy pop of Pepsi cola."

“The concept is quite simple. Pepperoni brings a smokey spiciness and the Pepsi adds a citrusy sweetness,” said David Kamen, Director of Client Experience for CIA Consulting. “It’s an intriguing combination we think pizza fans will be excited to try.”

Pepsi has already debuted the pizza in New York City, and said it will soon be coming to Los Angeles, Detroit, Miami and Chicago.
