Close to one million, that’s the number of online signatures calling for Governor Rick Snyder to resign over the Flint water crisis.

The issue taken to the doorstep of the governor today in Lansing.

This online petition was started by movie producer and Flint area native Michael Moore a month ago, when the water crisis started getting national attention.

At the demonstration in Lansing, a group posted a sign saying “Snyder poisoned Flint.”

There is also a recall for Governor Snyder underway, but not tied to the Flint water crisis. That petition was approved over issues with Detroit Public Schools.

So far 3 people have resigned or been fired in state government over the crisis.

A task force is looking into who knew what and when.

I’m now told, that report will not be finished until next month.

Governor Snyder is not resigning. He was in Detroit today at an event with Mayor Mike Duggan and others.

The governor has agreed to testify before a congressional committee in Washington, which is expected to happen next month.

Another protest against the governor is planned for tomorrow in Flint.
