(WXYZ) — A Detroit bar that has been around for decades in Corktown has hit the market. PJ's Lager House is up for sale for $2.2 million, according to Historic Realty Detroit.
The bar and music venue also has a loft in the second floor that is used for an Airbnb.
It opened as a neighborhood bakery and restaurant in 1914, according to the website, and during prohibition, advertised itself as a furniture store before becoming a beer garden immediately after prohibition ended.
In 2007, PJ Ryder bought the Lager House and renamed it PJ's Lager House and also added New Orleans flavor, according to the website.
The listing says the bar is a "prime turn-key property" in the Corktown neighborhood that "is exploding with hundreds of new apartments and condominiums."
