Romulus police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run in the area of Ecorse Road and Ball Road.
We're told a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle around 4:50 a.m. on Friday.
Police say the driver of a dark colored SUV was traveling eastbound on Ecorse when they struck the victim. The suspect stopped briefly and then fled the scene.
The victim, a 58-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect's vehicle may have front-end damage, according to police.
