Police investigating 3 shootings across the city of Detroit

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are investigating three shootings that happened in the city of Detroit.

Here is the preliminary information from police:

Non-fatal shooting on 9200 block of Boylen

On March 7 around 4:45 a.m. in the 9200 block of Boleyn, a 43-year old female victim suffered a gunshot wound to the body by a known person.

Medics took the victim to the hospital where she was listed in critical condition, police say.

The circumstances surrounding this incident are still being investigated.

There is no suspect information at this time.

Fatal shooting on the 7400 block of Michigan

On March 7 around 2 a.m., in the 7400 block of Michigan, witnesses heard gunshots and saw a 21-year male victim unresponsive on the sidewalk, suffering from a gunshot wound to the body.

Police were flagged down and administered aid.

Medic responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

The suspect is unknown at this time.

The circumstances surrounding this incident are still being investigated.

Non-fatal shooting on 2600 block of Sturtevant

On March 6, 2020 around 7:45 p.m. in the 2600 block of Sturtevant, a 30-year old male victim and witness were outside talking when a light-colored sedan drove by and someone inside allegedly fired multiple shots, striking the victim.

Police say the victim was privately taken to the hospital and listed in stable condition.

The suspect is currently unknown.

No other injuries reported.
