Police investigating 4 non-fatal shootings overnight in Detroit

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are conducting two separate investigations in four non-fatal shootings that happened in the city overnight.

The first shooting happened Jan. 25 around 11:30 p.m. in the 11400 block of Strathmoor. The 28-year-old victim was shot in the body and taken to a local hospital where he is listed in temporary serious condition. Police say the circumstances of the shooting are being investigated, and no description has been given for a suspect.

Another non-fatal shooting happened in the 18600 block of Grand River Avenue around midnight on Jan. 26. The victims were one woman, age 17, and two men, age 19 and the other unknown.

The victims where at a boxing match when someone fired shots following an argument, police say. The three victims were taken to a hospital. The 17-year-old and 19-year-old are in temporary serious condition, while the third victim, whose age is unknown, is in critical condition.
