Police are investigating a fatal shooting on E. McNichols between Brush and Omira on the city's east side.
Officers discovered the 35-year-old victim lying dead in the street, suffering from a gunshot wound just before 6 a.m.
Police say they have a 46-year-old male in custody, and they are investigating the incident as a possible attempted robbery.
The road will remain closed as the investigation continues, police say.
