STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. (WXYZ) — Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Sterling Heights Monday morning.
Police say that officers were dispatched to the 40000 block of Bonaparte Avenue for a disturbance.
Upon arrival, officers were directed to a local house where there was an altercation. One of the individuals in the altercation displayed a firearm and pointed it at officers. The officers discharged their firearms at the suspect, who was struck multiple times and injured.
Police say the subject was taken to a local hospital and is in critical condition. No other bystanders or officers were injured during the incident.
