DEARBORN, Mich. (WXYZ) — Dearborn police are on scene of a shooting investigation from overnight.

Right now, officers are at a home on Boston Street about a block and a half west of Telegraph.

7 Action News reporter Ali Hoxie spoke to a woman who said the incident happened at her daughter's house.

The woman said this is a case of love gone wrong and that her daughter's ex-boyfriend has been harassing her for a long time, which she believes led to the shooting overnight.

He allegedly showed up at the house, starting a fight that lead to the shooting. She says police are currently looking for him at this time.

The woman told Hoxie that she was called around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday morning to pick up her grandchildren from the home.

There were five children in the house at the time of the shooting, as well as four friends of her daughters.

She says one person, a friend of her daughters, was shot three times.

That innocent bystander is currently in the hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.
