DETROIT (WXYZ) — Police are investigating a smash-and-grab at a Family Dollar store on Detroit's east side.
On Dec. 16 around 3:40 a.m in the 16400 block of Harper, a suspect driving a red 2004 GMC Sierra backed his vehicle in the side wall of the Family Dollar, police say. Once inside, the male suspect took a cash register from the business. It is unknown how much money was inside the register, according to police.
There is no suspect description beyond him last seen wearing a gray hoodie.
Right now, no one is in custody.
Police say they are waiting to review store surveillance video.
