Missing 7-year-old back home safe, Detroit police say

DETROIT (WXYZ) — UPDATE: Kendryck Newburn is safely back home, according to Detroit police

Detroit police are asking from the public's help locating a 7-year-old boy who walked away from his home in the 11900 block of Laing Wednesday afternoon around 4:10 p.m.

Kendryck Newburn's guardian told police the boy walked away from the home and hasn't been seen since.

The child is described as 4 feet tall, 60 pounds, thin build, medium brown complexion with short, black hair. He was last seen wearing a gray t-shirt, gray basketball shorts, with gray and blue velcro sandals.
