STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. (WXY) — A 29-year-old man has been charged with aggravated indecent exposure for allegedly exposing himself and masturbating while riding his bike in Sterling Height's Dodge Park on Aug. 1.
According to a release, the first witness to the alleged activity was an off-duty police officer. She was jogging on a trail when she saw William Benjamin Brown, described as a very tall man with gray pants, riding a mountain bike with no grips on the handle bars. She said Brown was in full view of the public when he was allegedly fondling his genitals.
Another victim witnessed Brown nearly a half hour later, exposing himself while on his bike.
“This type of vulgar behavior will certainly not be tolerated.” said Macomb County Prosecutor Eric Smith. “Dodge Park is a beautiful place for families to go to; to enjoy the outdoors and recreation with their children. Having to worry about something like this is unconscionable.”
Brown was arraigned Aug. 23 and given a $10,000 cash surety bond. He's scheduled for a probable cause conference Sept. 6.
