Police: Man shot during attempted drug deal on Detroit's east side

DETROIT (WXYZ) — The Detroit Police Department is looking for two suspects involved in a shooting related to an attempted drug deal on the city's east side.

The incident happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday in the area of East Seven Mile and Eureka roads.

Police say a 24-year-old tried purchasing narcotics from two suspects. The specific type of narcotics were not disclosed by police. The 24-year-old was then shot and robbed, according to a police report.

The victim then drove himself to a local hospital where he was listed in temporary serious condition.

The two suspects are believed to be in their 20s, however no further description was immediately made available.
