Suspect in fatal shooting arrested after barricaded gunman on Detroit's east side

Detroit police provided an update as the search or several armed suspects continues on the city's east side. Right now, police say they have three suspects in custody in connection to the Halloween quadruple shooting that left a 15-year-old boy dead.

A 26-year-old is in custody for the fatal shooting of the teen.

Police also said there was a barricaded gunman who surrendered. There were five children in the house as well, all are safe with police.

The situation is under control, according to police.

2:12 p.m.

At least one suspect is in custody in the barricaded gunman situation on the city's east side. There are still more people inside the home, police sources tell 7 Action News, and the search continues.

The suspects are wanted in connection to the quadruple shooting on Halloween that left a 15-year-old boy dead.

Two schools in the area, Denby High School and Carleton Elementary School are on lockdown.

Detroit police are on scene of a barricaded gunman in the area of Duchess and Moross on the city's east side. We're also told that multiple armed suspects are in the area.

Police are asking people to avoid the area while they continue both the search and the investigation.

The area is between Moross and Morang, and east of Kelly Rd. and west of I-94.
