Sen. Debbie Stabenow has won a fourth term in the U.S. Senate after beating out Farmington Hills businessman John James in the election, ABC News projects.
The 68-year-old Democrat was first elected to represent Michigan in 2000 and was re-elected in both 2006 and 2012. She was Michigan’s first female senator.
She faced a tough fight against James, who had support from President Trump and other prominent Republicans.
