WXYZ DETROIT — On Sunday, December 27, Spotlight on the News sits down virtually for a joint interview with Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist II as they look back at the many challenges of 2020. It is the only year-end media conversation in which you will see the state's two highest-ranking elected public officials together. Whitmer and Gilchrist join me to discuss their controversial leadership decisions and styles during the COVID-19 pandemic and who they consulted with and trusted the most in one of the most difficult years in Michigan history.

We'll also touch base with Congressman Andy Levin who represents parts of Macomb and Oakland Counties in Michigan's 9th Congressional District.

Spotlight on the News, now in its 55th season, is Michigan's longest-running weekly news and public affairs television program. It airs every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. on WXYZ-TV/Channel 7 in Detroit, is streamed live on wxyz.com and broadcast at 11:30 a.m. on 23.1 WKAR-HD in East Lansing.
