Power restored in downtown Detroit after outage on Tigers Opening Day

DETROIT (WXYZ) — UPDATE 5:09 p.m.: Power has been restored to downtown Detroit after outage.

Part of Downtown Detroit was in the dark as the Tigers home opener is being played at Comerica Park.

DTE's outage map shows almost 600 customers were affected by the outage, which stretched from I-75 at Comerica Park to Larned near the river, and then west along Jefferson to Rosa Parks. The map showedd that part of Comerica Park is included in the outage area.

The map said the outage is caused by an equipment problem.

Power was restored at 5:09 p.m.
