Presidential candidate Kamala Harris will campaign in Michigan this weekend

(WXYZ) — 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris will campaign in Michigan on Sunday and Monday, in addition to speaking at the NAACP's Fight For Freedom Fund Dinner.

According to a release, Harris will lay out her vision "to restore truth and justice in America" and lay out her plan to give the average teacher a $13,500 raise by the end of her first term.

Harris will also be the keynote speaker at the 64th Annual NAACP Fight for Freedom Fund Dinner. The Detroit branch is the largest NAACP branch in the country.

On Monday, she will visit a Dearborn area public school, focusing on her plan to give every teacher in America a raise.

She will also participate in an educators town hall at Marcus Garvey Academy in Detroit where she will answer questions from teachers about the issues affecting their lives and the importance of raising teacher salaries.
