(WXYZ) — Dozens of abortion rights advocacy groups and their supporters will march around the country Tuesday, including metro Detroit.
More than 50 organizations across the country are leading #StopTheBans marches.
According to the website, protesters will be marching "to stop the extreme abortion bans sweeping the country." A number of recent anti-abortion laws have been passed in at least eight states, including in Alabama, where the governor just signed the nation's most restrictive bill.
These metro Detroit cities are participating in the marches:
- Ann Arbor: There will be multiple rallies held in Ann Arbor. Click here for more information.
- Birmingham: A rally will be held at 1008 Abbey at noon.
- Ferndale: Fems for Dems is hosting a rally at Ferndale City Hall Municipal Parking Lot #11 at 6 p.m.
