Be sure to get the snow up quickly! Temperatures will be on the verge of dropping later tonight within the ranges of less effective salt treatment. This will make for an icy commute Tuesday and possibly Wednesday morning.
Challenging Some Records:
The second part of the forecast, which I believe is the bigger story, is the arctic air to follow. Close to 200 temperature records will be broken across the country as this early blast of Winter spills in.
Here's a look at the wind chills expected this week around metro Detroit along with some of our records that could be broken.
The Detroit area has only seen lows in the teens during November three times over the last 19 years. We could make it four or 5 times by Wednesday morning.
