Detroit police say a boyfriend shot his girlfriend after he mistook her as an intruder at their home early Tuesday morning.
It happened in the 3000 block of Cadieux near Mack around 1:30 a.m.
According to police, the 31-year-old woman forget her keys and tried to climb back into the home through a bedroom window.
Her 27-year-old boyfriend pulled out a gun and opened fire, thinking she was an intruder.
Police say the woman was shot once in the wrist. After the shooting, police say he drove her to the hospital and he was questioned by police.
