Rep. John Conyers and his wife Monica have renewed their vows amid divorce proceedings, according to his attorney.
Arnold Reed said John wanted to with reconcile with God, family and public service.
Monica, 51, filed for divorce from John, 87, in October 2015. According to Wayne County court records, a settlement conference between the two was scheduled for Monday, Aug. 29.
The two have been married for more than 25 years, and at the time of the filing, Monica's attorney said there was still a chance they would work it out.
Monica is a former Detroit City Council [resident pro tem who went to federal prison for three years for taking bribes as a councilwoman.
